If you've got a question about using the free online version of BikeCAD, post it here.
Hello
Hey Brent
Whenever I upgrade to the latest version of BikeCAD (which I've only done two or three times total), I lose all my saved components, templates, etc...
I solve this by copying all the files from BikeCAD_XX.X_configuration folder and pasting them in the new version.
Is there a more formal way to do this migration? If not, can I request this as a feature? I'd love the option to simply import settings, component library, and templates from the previously installed version.
Thanks!
Justin
Is there a way to view the chainstays and seatstays from the top of the bike so I can check clearances to the tires?
Hi,
Does anyone know if it is possible to view / model / export an internal view of the tubes showing tube wall thickness and butting?
Thanks in advance.
Hey everyone. Not sure if this is the right place for this.. I'm looking for information or cad data on the modular dropouts from framebuilder supply (picture attached).
Basically I need the dimensions because I want to make a longer dropout to fit a 29" wheel.
Thanks in advance!
Hello,
For some reason, I cannot display the mitres on my model, despite the ioption being correctly set (it seems). To be accurate, it is showing the miter at stem but none of the rest.

Any idea what I could be missing?
Hey Brent,
I'm occasionally running into an issue where I'll try to enter new dims in a box and only 1 digit will populate (e.g. I was just trying to update reach from 530 --> 550) and only the last diget (0) would enter. If I clear out all the digits (via delete/backspace) things seem to reset and I can continue on for a time. I can't seem to trace it to any specific operation/behaviour. Only seems to happen on my mac. Happens on old files and new ones. Happens in various menus (e.g. fork, main dims, wheels, etc)
2017 13" MBP.

By default the bottom bracket is centered at the BB. An offset is available vertically through the offset at BB checkbox. Is there a way to accomplish an offset laterally like we can with the chainstays through dimension F?
I am in the process of designing an asymetrical frame that will require the rear wheel to be dished to the NDS. In the wheel settings "Offset in drive direction" appears to shift the chainstay angle laterally. When I alter G or H nothing seems to happen in the chainstay or seatstay view. Is there a way to change the rear wheel dish that I am not seeing? Can this be displayed in the chaninstay and seatstay view?
Custom Standover works on the web but not on the 17.5 demo.
Am I doing something wrong?
Or can I somehow enable Standover on the demo?
